  • Legal or compliance requirements identified and documented
  • Project workspace created and access granted to all stakeholders
Kickoff
  • Project scope reviewed line by line with the client
  • Deliverables list confirmed, including explicit exclusions
  • Communication cadence established: meeting frequency, response time expectations, preferred channel
  • Revision rounds defined: how many, what triggers a round, what constitutes an approved revision
  • Project milestones confirmed with specific dates
  • Content handoff process defined: format, delivery method, contact person
  • Change request process explained: how out-of-scope requests are submitted, evaluated, and priced
Post-kickoff
  • Kickoff notes sent to client within 24 hours
  • All stakeholders confirmed on the project workspace
  • First milestone date confirmed with the client in writing
  • Day-to-day point of contact confirmed
  • Escalation path defined: who to contact if an issue requires a decision above the working level
  • Content delivery reminder scheduled in advance of the handoff date
